Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Medical Psychology of FMUC, where she also develops her pedagogical activity, as a teacher of several curricular units related to medical psychology, psychopathology and clinical communication, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses
Her research focuses on the role of the personality and cognitive-emotional regulation in psychological health, with a focus on women’s mental health, affective disorders (perinatal), eating disorders and other obsessive-compulsive disorders
In these areas, she has developed and/or validated several psychometric instruments, as well as intervention programs based on cognitive-behavioral therapies
The various research projects she has coordinated (including those funded through competitive tenders) have provided very relevant scientific contributions, evident in her high scientific productivity: five books, dozens of articles in high-impact scientific journals and hundreds of communications at national and international events
