According to the World Health Organization, malocclusion is considered a public health problem, due to its high prevalence and high treatment costs. Therefore, the WHO recommends the adoption of preventive and interceptive measures for malocclusion, starting from early childhood.

It is essential to raise awareness among health professionals and families about this topic, in order to reduce the prevalence of this pathology and reduce social inequality.

The main objective of this meeting is to share clinical and scientific experiences relating to Functional Jaw Orthopedics, which demonstrate its therapeutic possibilities for promoting oral health, reestablishing the correct functions of the stomatognathic system and recovering harmonious cranio-facial growth.
