Neuro-occlusal Rehabilitation in Primary Dentition

Course General objective:
In this course, students can deepen their knowledge on child development during the deciduous dentition stage and acquire techniques that will enable them to control this development and treat patients who exhibit a pathological development. The application of these NOR techniques will help to optimize and facilitate orthodontic and FJO treatments of our patients.
Specific learning objectives
At the end of this course, trainees should be able to:
• Understand a child’s normal development and diagnose the changes that can lead to pathologies;
• Understand the tools that NOR uses to treat and control these changes;
• Learn, in a practical way, the technique of selective grinding in deciduous dentition;
• Learn, in a practical way, the technique of direct tracks;
• Understand the contribution of Prof. Planas’ apparatology in the treatment of these children;
• Recognize the importance of this early treatment in achieving a well-balanced occlusion.
